RUBENSTEIN ARTS CENTER Including the von der Heyden Studio Theatre, Ruby Lounge, Ruby Film Theatre, Studios and The Gallery
The Rubenstein Arts Center is located at the intersection of Anderson and Campus Drive a short walk from the Sarah P Duke Gardens. Established in 2015 and open in 2018 the 70,000+ square foot building encompasses flexible multipurpose studios, seminar classrooms, a makerspace, the Ruby Lounge, the von der Heyden Studio Theater, a film screening theater and more.
The Ruby is home to the programs in Dance, Arts of the Moving Image and WXDU 88.7 FM, as well as home for many public programming including performances, film screenings and exhibitions.
The Rubenstein Arts Center does not have a dedicated parking lot. If you are coming from elsewhere on Duke’s campus during the day, we recommend that you take Duke Transit’s free and frequent East-West bus service, which stops across the street from the Ruby. If you are driving to the Ruby for an event, check the event listing to see if free parking has been arranged. Otherwise, nearby parking accommodations include:
