COVID-19 protocols
Duke’s masking policy will be guided by the community risk category as determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On Thursday, Sept. 22, masking will become optional indoors on campus.
We recommend that anyone experiencing cold-like respiratory symptoms, continue to wear a mask indoors until symptoms resolve.
Unvaccinated individuals, who are at increased risk for severe illness, are encouraged but will no longer be required to wear masks indoors.
Please note that any individuals who feel more comfortable continuing to mask should do so and all members of the community should respect the rights of those who wish to remain masked.
