Chapel Information

Get Ready for your visit to Duke Chapel:

  • Registration is required.

  • Please register online for your FREE tickets (up to 7 passes per person, per day/service).

  • Due to the covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of people may be in the Chapel at one time.

  • All members of the public are welcome. We strongly encourage all visitors to be vaccinated. Masks must be worn inside the Chapel.

Be prepared when you get to the Chapel:

  • Download the pdf attachment with scanning barcode to your mobile device or a print hard copy.

  • Upon arrival, please access the Chapel through the ADA compliant ramp on the Divinity School side of the Chapel for Visiting Hours and through the front doors for Sunday Services.

  • Present proof of registration (scanning barcode) to the Chapel staff as you enter. Tickets are single-use for one time of entry.

  • Each guest entering the Chapel must sanitize their hands before entry and wear a mask at all times.

  • No food or drink may be opened or consumed in the Chapel Sanctuary.

  • Guests may sit in any open pew, maintaining social distancing during their visit. Family members may sit together as a group.

Before you go:

  • When leaving the Chapel, guests will exit through the transept doors during visiting hours and out the turret door after Sunday Service.

Please Note:

  • The Chapel Tower cannot be accessed during this visit.

  • Prayer requests may be placed in the collection box near Memorial Chapel.
