ABOUT

A hyper contemporary take on an ancient tale! Hoof ‘n’ Horn, in collaboration with Duke Theater Studies and a professional creative team, will be performing the very first full production of The Aeneid, directed by Kay Matschullat with music by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening, American Psycho). A progressive retelling of the epic with rebellious, rock sensibilities this piece transports Virgil's gripping original to a contemporary context. Aeneas' challenges echo the yearning and trauma across the globe today, embodying the tragedy and the hope of our moment.
