How can I sign up to be a volunteer usher for the events at Duke?

We always welcome new volunteers to join our ushering team. Our volunteer ushers take tickets, distribute programs, and assist the house manager with other duties that contribute to an exemplary audience experience.

My organization wants to reserve a space to put on an event at Duke. Who do I contact?

There are dozens of spaces on campus that can be booked for various kinds of events. However, most bookings for performing arts or cultural events are managed by the University Center for Activities and Events. My organization has booked a space, and we need to arrange for ticketing and audience services. Who do I contact?

Typically, the Audience Services Coordinator in the University Box Office will contact your organization no later than one month prior to your event to arrange ticketing for that event. However, it is always a good idea to reach out to the Box Office as soon as you have booked your space to discuss ticketing, ushers, and other front of house logistics. All inquiries about ticketing can be directed to tickets@duke.edu.

My organization is producing an event at Duke, but not in one of your performance venues. Can we still sell tickets through the box office?

Yes! The University Box Office is a great resource for organizations looking to sell tickets to events all over campus. Your customers will be able to order tickets online, over the phone, or in person using all forms of payment. If we are not able to offer our services, we will consult with you on the best alternative for your event. To inquire about arranging tickets for an upcoming event, please e-mail tickets@duke.edu.
