If you have any questions, comments, or requests, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will do our best to respond to your needs. Our Venue and Production Management team works backstage, front of house, and in the box office to help you experience the best event possible.

Theater Access:

Theater Access
We provide accessible seating in each performing space at Duke University.

Accessible seating may be purchased online, over the phone, in person at the Box Office, or via mail-in order form (when applicable).

The location of accessible seats varies with each space and is based on availability at time of purchase. If you order tickets online and have additional requests for accommodation beyond what can be indicated online, please e-mail or call 919-684-4444 during normal business hours and ask to speak to a supervisor.

Hearing Devices & Interpreters:

Hearing Devices and Interpreters
Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) are available at our venues.

You can request an ALD in advance by contacting the Duke University Box Office or when you arrive at the event by notifying an usher upon entry. Please arrive in the venue lobby at least 15 minutes prior to the start time to ensure we have enough time to meet your request without disrupting the performance.

Sign Interpreters, Audio Description, and other services must be requested at least three weeks in advance of the event date and are based on availability.

Vision Impairment Accommodations:

Vision Impaired Accommodations
If you are in need of seats closer to the front of the theater for a performance due to a vision impairment, ticket orders can be placed in a variety of ways. If the performance offers reserved seating and you find seats that meet your needs online, you may purchase your tickets there. If you find that there are no seats available online that meet your needs, contact the Duke University Box Office by phone so that we can assist you with your order.

For general admission performances, please contact the University Box Office at least one business day in advance to request seats near the front of the theater. We will reserve a space for you and up to three companions.

The Duke University Box Office can also provide large print playbills.  To help us provide you with the best service possible, please call the Box Office at least one business day in advance. When you arrive for the event, please locate an usher or the House Manager for the programs.
