The Irish poet and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama is the featured speaker for a public conversation and poetry reading on Tuesday, November 19, at 6:00 p.m., in Duke University Chapel. The host of the popular podcast Poetry Unbound, Ó Tuama will discuss “Poetry, Prayer, and Public Healing” for Duke Chapel’s 2024 William Preston Few Lecture..
Due to the overwhelming demand, the Duke University Box Office will be offering a standby line for this event. Interested guests without a ticket are encouraged to line up in the designated area outside of Page Auditorium on the Chapel Quad starting at 5pm. Participants in the standby line will be served based on order of arrival and must remain in line in order to save their spot. Management will monitor attendance levels and make decisions regarding admitting the standby line at 6pm. If space allows, guests will be placed in the back of the chapel or in the transepts, depending on availability. Please note that guests in the standby line are not guaranteed entry.
