Cheney will speak at Duke as part of the Sanford Lecture Series. Endowed by the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, this prestigious lecture is open to the Duke University community. The lecture series intends to promote engaged and enlightened leadership. The lectures are held in honor of the late Terry Sanford, a bold leader who served as North Carolina governor, U.S. senator, president of Duke University, and founder of the Sanford School of Public Policy. All guests will be subject to a search of their person and possessions prior to entering the venue, including walk-through and/or wand metal detectors.

Tickets are non-transferrable.
Items may be permitted inside only after a thorough inspection by a security representative, at their discretion.
Guests should be prepared to open their bags for inspection and may be asked by a security representative to shift and possibly remove the contents.
We strongly encourage clear bags when possible. Non-clear bags must be 5"x8"x2" or smaller.
Large items such as backpacks, suitcases, luggage, duffel bags, and large items are not permitted inside.
No photography or recording devices permitted.
No signs, flags, or banners will be allowed inside the venue.
Entry may be denied to the event at the discretion of venue or security staff.
There will be no ticket distribution at the event.
